IFS Approved Clinical Consultant
Whether you are pursuing certification, refining your clinical skills, or seeking support with challenging cases, I offer consultation grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and the principles of IFS.
IFS consultation invites us to make "U-turns"—to turn inward and notice what parts of ourselves are present in our work with clients. Many of our parts bring valuable knowledge, wisdom, and clinical skill that can enhance the therapeutic process. Other parts may emerge in protective roles, influencing or constraining our ability to be fully present with our clients.
Being Self-led does not mean the absence of parts. Rather, it is the awareness of our parts and the ability to remain connected to Self as they inform, support, and guide our work. Consultation offers an opportunity to deepen this awareness, strengthen Self-leadership, and cultivate greater clarity, confidence, and effectiveness in clinical practice.
Deepening your IFS skills
Understand how your system’s reactions may be shaping the work
Working through stuck and challenging cases
Find clarity when you feel stuck, uncertain, or overwhelmed
Many therapists discover that what seemed like a client issue was actually a place where they became blended with one of their own parts.
Identifying therapist parts
One of the unique aspects of IFS consultation is the focus on the therapist's internal system.
For example, you might notice:
A "helper" part that wants to rescue the client.
A perfectionistic part that worries you're not doing IFS correctly.
A fearful part that avoids approaching certain exiles.
A managerial part that wants sessions to proceed according to a plan.
Personal Growth
Increased confidence.
Greater Self-energy in sessions.
Reduced burnout.
More trust in the IFS process.
